Psychiatrist & Associate Professor Alicia Barnes DO, MPH is an Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Preventive Medicine at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. She is also the Associate Director of the Center for Youth Advocacy and Well-Being. Her research interests include implementation of programs for mental health services in underserved communities and designing curricula for medical students and residents working with community leaders, members, and clinics. She received a dual degree including a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master's in Public Health from Temple University. She completed her psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden NJ and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Northwell Hofstra Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens NY. Currently she serves as a representative to the Assembly on the Executive Council for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry |
